Platypus Armada will be a card game using an updated take on the book "Animal Farm" with 21st century humor as a theme.
This entry will be used to post the progress of the game from the very first playtest until what I (hope) will be a self-published version of the game (probably without the poker chips).
The gameplay is very simple. You have 25 cards. The same 25 as your opponent. You start with 10 cards and 10 energy. You have the right to mulligan as much as you want for 1 energy per mulligan. Each round you play 5 cards and draw another 5 at the end of it. At each round , you can outwit your opponent with aggresive bets and/or use of the cards special powers. A maximum of 5 rounds will be played. At the end, after someone wins 3 rounds , whoever built and secured the most valuable buildings will win. In case of a tie , you check who has the most money, if there is still a tie, who triggered the game end wins.
Playing time is around 30 minutes, if players are familiar with the deck. In order to guarantee replayability , you will have scenarios that deeply modify the battlefield and team-based games as well.
